Revelation 3:8b I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.
THE FAITHFUL ARE NOT FORGOTTEN
Faithfulness is a quality highly valued. If the teacher is not faithful, the students do not learn what they need to know. If the airline pilot is not faithful, the plane crashes into the jungle. If the secret service agents are not faithful, the President finds a bullet in his chest.
Faithfulness to Jesus Christ is important too. Especially as the last day approaches, we face temptation from all sides to turn away, deny His name, and cease listening to His word. It can be hard to remain faithful when it seems like the unfaithful get all the blessings. When the heathen grab the headlines and the unbelievers are exalted to the highest places, we might wonder, "Has Jesus forgotten those who are His?"
Your Savior does not forget. He did not forget the Christians at Philadelphia. Rather He noticed their faithfulness and promised them anew that He would not leave them in their hour of need, saying to them, "I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world to test those who live on the earth."
You are not brought to faith by the power of God only to be cast aside by that same God. The Lord Jesus Christ remains ever faithful to you.
